I believe in a world where people matter. So, over the years, I’ve built my career on one simple principle: to craft meaningful experiences, services & products for people. I'm a keen, empathetic, dedicated, energetic, and creative problem solver that has collaborated with teams, projects, digital products, and services in a wide range of clients across Japan, Austria, India, Switzerland, UAE, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Netherlands, Germany, and Brazil.
With 26 years of experience in design, I worked as a Graphic Designer, UX Designer, Product Designer, Service Designer, Team Leader, Design Strategist, and Head of Product Design. I’m passionate about understanding businesses, unfolding visions, creating strategies, planning, leading, learning, co-creating, researching, facilitating workshops, and so much more. Every single background shaped who I am, and the know-how I learned in diverse fields are employed interchangeably.

When I first met Jana I knew right from the get-go she was a professional design leader. During our time working together I was able to witness her take a project from the beginning idea stage, roadmap creation, through delivery, and now deployment. Where there was no clarity she brought clarity through strategic research and flawless stakeholder management.
She was able to keep the team aligned and moving forward using clearly communicated storytelling, setting clear expectations, and creating a collaborative environment using one of the many tools in her arsenal like design thinking workshops and more. We had a final readout with the product, business, and other stakeholders, and needless to say everyone was super impressed with the work that was delivered.
The work was applicable and helped solve real-world user needs. If you are looking for a self-starter or a strategic design leader or someone who can drive a project from start to finish Jana is someone you should consider partnering with.
Talking about Janayna is all at once effortless and extremely complex. Easy because she is a fantastic professional, engaged, human, perfectionist and always delivers beyond what is expected in the day-to-day activities.
Complex because it is not possible to measure the impact of her contribution in the team, since besides all the characteristics mentioned above, she also adds a lot (and helps to transform!) the environment in which she is inserted.
Janayna worked directly with me in a very challenging position, which went far beyond deliverables and results, but had a strategic objective of changing the mindset of an entire structure. Since then, she has become a reference for me in her area of work.
I have had the joy of working with Jana on a strategic engagement with our Salesforce client. She is an incredible designer, strategist and thinker. From the first day of the project, she asked the right questions to ensure that we understood the client needs and user pain points.
She has a keen ability to think about the big picture and then go deep into the details to map out experiences and concepts. Dystopian EN.tropies
In an ever-increasing dystopian world, with more and more control of corporate giants, institutions, technologies, extremists & religious ideologies, we have witnessed the rise of autocracies, dictatorships, and oppressive systems in several countries.
Some questions and reflections arise from this context: How do we build our paths in the world? How can we see our privileges, understand which circles we are in and where they impact? How to rethink our contexts and interactions? Are there ways we can exist without echoing or reinforcing racism, misogyny, homophobia, and violence? How to create networks, communities, and spaces of support that foster mutual growth? How to break the dystopian structures and generate more entropy, randomness, unpredictability, chaos, to have more voices & diversity into the existing systems? What are the possibilities to become a driving force in the creation of emergent organic systems to rebalance the world?
Dystopian EN.tropies are a series of interviews created to provoke a reflection about these contexts and to open a space for dialogue, collaboration, co-creation, and change. It's about listening to people's stories and learning from their journeys...
